Hello and welcome to
The Abundant Acre.

As Job 36:31 states, “By these mighty acts, he nourishes the people, giving them food in abundance”. Having an acre to farm on behind our home, we chose to start The Abundant Acre.
I was working for a domestic violence shelter and saw first-hand how hard it is to obtain fresh food. Most donations are shelf-life products that can be stored, however, those are not always healthy options. Our project started as a hobby for my husband to do once he retires, however, the more people we told about it, the more people wanted to help and the idea grew. While working on my Master's in Nonprofit Administration, I decided to start a nonprofit organization and the Abundant Acre took root. My husband and I are both veterans, and he is registered as a certified veteran farmer. I’m currently completing my Masters in Nonprofit administration.
